#RoofReacts to the FOX Fall Trailers

Trailers for most of the new fall series have been spread across the internet in the few weeks since the 2012 Upfronts and they always bring a mixed bag of thoughts and feelings with them.  Here is a series of posts of my reactions to the new shows on network television for Fall 2012.  These views are based on what I see in the trailers below and remember that I am picky with my thoughts.

Finally it is time to look at the FOX trailers.  FOX has won the season now for 8 straight years, but outside of Idol, they don’t have any major players.  Glee is horrible but still pulls an audience, and New Girl broke out thats the Max Greenfield.  Good news is that X Factor has a train wreck in waiting on their judges panel, so that could uptick the ratings for a few weeks.  My viewing choices on FOX is fairly limited, with only American Idol, X Factor, and New Girl on my schedule.

The Mob Doctor – Mondays 9:00 PM

Starring Jordana Spiro, Zach Gilford, James Carpinello, & William Forsythe

My Thoughts:  It looks like it will be entertaining and having Friday Night Lights‘ Zach Gilford means I will be giving it a chance.  I don’t know how much success it will have and could see it being a 1 season show.  It doesn’t have too much to fight against demo wise at the hour, but still going against Dancing With The Stars, The Voice, and 2 Broke Girls.  Will probably make the DVR schedule and I’ll catch 2 Broke Girls online.

Ben and Kate – Tuesdays 8:30 PM

Starring Nat Faxon, Dakota Johnson, & Maggie Jones

My Thoughts:  I hate it already for the horrible backing up in the car scene.  The cast doesn’t look to likable and since it looks like Jon Foster isn’t in the show full-time, which doesn’t help.  Charming sure, but nothing special here.  Might give it a chance on the DVR behind The Voice.

The Mindy Project – Tuesdays 9:30 PM

Starring Mindy Kaling, Chris Messina, & Anna Camp

My Thoughts:  I get Mindy Kaling for other people, but I really don’t get the Mindy love.  His character is a less nerdy Jess from New Girl, so I guess they will work together on the schedule.  Just tries WAY to hard for my taste.  Won’t make my DVR list and not mad about it.
