AWKWARD. Review 3.11 | Surprise |

Note: Due to some technical difficulties at our site,, my reviews and articles will be published on my personal blog until the matter is resolved.

Awkward. kicked off the 2nd half of Season 3 just hours after where we left off, when Jenna, excellently played by One Tree Hill’s Ashley Rickards, makes out with recurring guest star Nolan Funk’s (Glee, Warehouse 13) Collin at a party. Jenna is in a relationship with school heartthrob Matty McKibben, Desperate Housewives’  Beau Mirchoff.  While Collin was able to break it off with his previous relationship for Jenna – Jenna was not.

Awkward. Review 2.09: Homewrecker Hamilton

What an outstanding episode of Awkward. last night.  In the fall out of Jenna’s (Ashley Rickards) breakup with Jake (Brett Davern) and hookup with Matty (Beau Mirchoff), we get some awesome performances by the male leads.  Be sure to check out The Voice Of TV and my full review of Homewreaker Hamilton.

‘Awkward’ Review 2.05: My Love is a Black Heart

Awkward. has begun to get a little stale with the constant worrying about the love triangle.  I am ready for Jenna to be content in her relationship with Jake.  While he was ready to solidify the relationship – was she?

Check out The Voice of TV and my full review of My Love is a Black Heart.

‘Awkward.’ Review 2.03: Three’s A Crowd

Awkward. is back with an episode focused on a third wheel and I am really getting tired of the squeaky on latching onto Jenna and Jake’s relationship.  Check out my review of Three’s A Crowd and be sure to always check out The Voice of TV for all of your television reviews.

Summer Weekly Reviews Coming!! Big Brother, Awkward., Baby Daddy

I am excited to get the opportunity to do weekly reviews for The Voice of TV this summer and getting a chance to cover a few great shows.

Awkward. has already started its 2nd season, and I am loving it so far.  The writing is so sharp and Ashley Rickards, whom I have enjoyed since she rocked it on One Tree Hill, kills it as the lead.  Awkward. airs on MTV, Thursday nights at 10:30pm.

Baby Daddy debuted a few weeks ago to record numbers on ABC Family.  The show is about 3 twenty-something guys that find one of their daughters on their doorstep and are forced to work together to raise the baby with the help of another friend and the baby’s grandmother.  Tahj Mowry, of Smart Guy and Full House fame, stars as one of the supporting characters that is helping raise the baby and Reba‘s Melissa Peterman is the grandmother.  It’s a cute show that seems to be working so far.  Baby Daddy airs on ABC Family on Wednesday nights at 8:30pm.

Big Brother returns on Thursday, July 12th and I am so ready for the thrice a week show to return to my schedule.  This season will see the return of 4 former house-guests joining 12 new players.  They say the 4 house-guests have a hidden or different agenda – I am very eager to find out what that could be.  Big Brother airs on CBS on Sundays at 8:00pm, Wednesdays at 8:00pm, and Thursdays at 9:00pm throughout the summer.

Awkward. Review 2.02: Sex, Lies and Videotape

For season 2 of MTV’s hit comedy Awkward. I have the privilege to do weekly reviews for The Voice of TV.  If you haven’t seen Awkward. yet, you should start watching.  It’s a smart and funny high school set comedy that features an outstanding cast led by One Tree Hill‘s Ashley Rickards.  Her current love triangle and home situation after learning her mother’s secret are the underlyings of season 2.  Start watching and check out my review of Sex, Lies and Videotape.
