Awkward. Review 2.02: Sex, Lies and Videotape

For season 2 of MTV’s hit comedy Awkward. I have the privilege to do weekly reviews for The Voice of TV.  If you haven’t seen Awkward. yet, you should start watching.  It’s a smart and funny high school set comedy that features an outstanding cast led by One Tree Hill‘s Ashley Rickards.  Her current love triangle and home situation after learning her mother’s secret are the underlyings of season 2.  Start watching and check out my review of Sex, Lies and Videotape.

‘Biggest Loser’ Quitter Says “I’m Competitive”

The 13th season of The Biggest Loser premiered on Tuesday, just 3 short weeks after cycle 12 ended.  This season features nine established teams and one team of strangers and is dubbed “The Season of No Excuses,” but Ben Shuh, a 34 year-old father of nine, with one on the way, from Howell, MI couldn’t stop with the excuses and asked his team to send him home to his family after just one week on the ranch.

Chelsea Handler & Laura Prepon Ask Audiences ‘Are You There, Chelsea?’

Are You There, Chelsea? premieres Wednesday, Jan. 11th at 8:30 PM on NBC.  Laura Prepon (That 70’s Show, October Road) portrays a 20s-something Chelsea Handler and Handler portrays her sister Sloane and is based on Handler’s three books My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands, Are You There Vodka? It’s Me Chelsea, and Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang.  Handler, who serves as executive producer on the show, and Prepon recently spoke with the media about the upcoming series.

‘I Hate My Teenage Daughter’ Stars Talk New Show

In FOX’s new comedy I Hate My Teenage Daughter, Jamie Pressly and Katie Finneran play best friends, Annie and Nikki respectively, whom both happen to be raising the school mean girls.  Jamie and Katie spoke with the media last week to promote the series premiere on Wednesday, Nov. 30th at 9:30 PM on FOX.
